Wat Phra Non is among the largest temples within the walled area at Kamphaeng Phet. It is divided into two parts separated by walls of laterite. Within the outermost enclosure is the Sangkhawat, comprising monks’ living quarters and other non-liturgical buildings, most of which are barely discernible as stone foundations due to their utilitarian nature. The area inside the inner enclosure, called the Buddhavasa, comprises the major religious monuments built in monumental fashion. Oriented east to west, these comprise an ubosot (ordination hall) at the east entrance, a viharn for a reclining Buddha image, a large octagonal chedi, and a mondop (Buddha image hall) to the west. A sala is located outside the walls to the east of the temple across the modern road.
