Israel, Beit Guvrin (Eleutheropolis) – Crusader church (00:01:33)

$80.00

The church itself was apparently built shortly after the construction of the citadel located behind it, the church was built on the back of the citadel (south side) and is built in the form of a relatively large hall containing two sitra. When we get closer to the front of the church, we will easily notice that the builders made use of everything that came to hand, many remains of rocks, bricks, pieces of marble and in fact every ancient architectural item that was around and served their desires to build on the spot. Most of the construction parts are from the Roman and Byzantine period, which were apparently near the area where the church and the fort itself were built.
